To those who have been fans of the Power Rangers or at least are aware of them, the name Jason David Frank may not signify much, but to those who do, he was one of the most fantastic, if not the most awesome, of the Rangers back in his day. The character was the first Green Ranger and White Ranger, and he also held a few more Ranger titles, making him the most fantastic character on the programme. He first appeared to be an evil character, but Rita finally forced him to become one of the good ones. Compared to the others, he was still somewhat of a bad guy, therefore his attractiveness was He was a significant departure from the clean, morally upright performance that the Rangers had been doing up until that moment. But even after leaving the Power Rangers, he kept up his martial arts practise and now runs a number of clubs that specialise in MMA and Karate. He was nothing short of spectacular.
10. He loves Tupac Shakur and Korn a lot.
It's odd to see individuals this tough who like listening to laid-back music like The Carpenters and similar artists, but you get the impression that Tupac isn't only about rough beats and insightful words. If you recall, Tupac was a genius in the rap game and popularised a larger message that many people found appealing. On the other hand, Korn is nothing but pure adrenaline.
9. He appeared on Power Rangers for a longer period of time than any other Ranger.
Eventually, he assumed control of the role of chief ranger because, let's face it, the Green Ranger was by far the most potent character on the show. His Dragonzord even defeated the Megazord's combined power and defeated the other Rangers. As a Ranger, he transitioned through a few different colours as well.
8. In a few videos promoting a Super Power Beat Down between imaginary characters, he has appeared.
He has participated in several Beat Downs, including one in which he battles Ryu from Street Fighter. He has also appeared as the White Ranger and faced Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. Although there are other versions for supporters of the franchises that lost, he won each time.
7. He established Toso Kune Do.
Jason invented Toso Kune Do, and many individuals have had conflicting opinions about it. While some people adore it and claim that it mimics many different styles, others tend to find it confusing and a little disorganised. It's actually up to the person who wants to practise to decide, but it's sort of remarkable that he would come up with something completely original.
He practises mixed martial arts.
He does a fairly excellent job at it too, as you can see from the video. He developed into a harder character in the ring from his aggressive persona on TV. His success in the MMA has been nothing short of outstanding, and his record speaks for itself.
5. He still performs.
Evidently, you can tell from the films that he still comes on stage occasionally to perform a role and seems to enjoy doing so. Jason seems to be the type of person who needs to be engaged in something to feel truly connected to others, and so far he's built a really great career that's low-key enough to keep him in the know without putting him in the spotlight at all the time.
4. He had a brief appearance in the newest Power Rangers film.
This was a major delight for the fans since Amy Jo Johnson, one of the original Rangers from the first programme, was also present during the movie's concluding scenes. They don't appear to have aged that much apart from each other over the years, do they?
3. He was the tallest ranger of them all.
Jason is a guy of normal height at 5'10", but among the Rangers, he was the tallest. That comes as a bit of a surprise given how they appeared on screen, where they appeared to be much taller pretty impressive, and even more so it proves that he’s kind of an adrenaline junkie.
